The Mask

 
Little smiles lie as lies
In a face full of scars.
They cover people's eyes
And keep truth behind bars.

Always seem pretty good
Without a care in the world,
But there's a secret to this mood:
Many things go untold!

You're ok? What's wrong?
It's all they will ask.
Tho' none knows the song...

It's not an easy task,
But all that makes me strong
Is my unpenetrable mask.

"Even though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death, i will fear no evil..."

Yes, I think we all have a mask... a side that we never show to others...

By the way, I invite you to read my poem titled "Desejos Reprimidos", it's in Portuguese and also talks about people not showing to others their intimate desires...
